Biography

Who is Samu Kovács?

Samu Kovács started editing YouTube videos from his bedroom in Hungary when he was 16. He taught himself English from YouTube to do it. By 17, he’d realized editing was the commodity layer and strategy was the leverage layer, so he started offering the whole stack: strategy, scripts, thumbnails, editing, and channel growth.

Three years later, his agency works with some of the biggest personal brands in B2B SaaS, including Adam Robinson, Taylor Haren, and Sam Dunning, and has scaled from $20K to $120K/month in six months.

His thesis is simple and unfashionable: B2B YouTube is about leads, not views. He’s built a career proving it.

Off camera, he’s financially supporting his middle-class Hungarian family, aiming to build his agency into the biggest B2B YouTube shop in the world, and occasionally shooting content with friends in Málaga.

YouTube-First for B2B: Why Leads Beat Views (Every Time)

The case against virality in B2B. Why a 300-view video in the right niche outperforms a 50K-view video in the wrong one.

Samu walks through the exact strategy he uses — starting with scripts written from the founder’s existing content, that turns a dead company YouTube channel into a pipeline engine.

Listener takeaways:

  • Why “uploading webinars to YouTube” isn’t a YouTube strategy
  • The script-from-existing-content method that removes founder-time from the bottleneck
  • How to measure YouTube success when views are the wrong metric
  • Real numbers from Adam Robinson, Taylor Herron, and Sam Dunning

Topic #2

Solo to $120K/Month: Scaling a Service Business Without a Co-founder

How Samu took a video-editing freelance business and turned it into a 40-client B2B YouTube agency by himself. What broke at each stage. What he wishes he’d built sooner. Why operations, not sales, is the real bottleneck once demand arrives.

Listener takeaways:

  • The four moments Samu had to redesign the business to survive its own growth
  • Why he hires editors differently from full-time team members
  • The tools running his ops layer (and which ones he’d scrap)
  • The honest version of “going from $20K to $120K in six months” — including the sleepless nights

Topic #3

YouTube Is the Antidote to AI Slop

Every LinkedIn post, every blog, every comment section is filling up with AI-generated noise.
Samu makes the case that long-form video is the one format where real humans still win, and why the B2B founders investing in it now will own their categories for the next decade.

Listener takeaways:

  • Why AI content is actually making founder-led video more valuable, not less
  • What “real” looks like in a YouTube video, and why polish isn’t the point
  • How to start recording even if you hate being on camera
  • The compounding moat of long-form video vs. the decaying moat of written content
